Over the years I have found that people often hold this impression about the marketing profession: it’s a pile of bull crap covered in a thick layer of the most expensive perfume. The thing is that, I know exactly where they are coming from. Looking around, it seems like the industry is full of self-proclaimed experts who are more fluent in the fluffing language than in real, accountable talks. Marketers are usually very good at showing their best side, so it can be severely disappointing to find out that their works and their talents are not so impressive after all.
